Religion Program

It is the goal of Immaculata Classical Academy that the Catholic Faith permeate every aspect of our curriculum. To this end, the principle and crown of our children’s academic experience is the study of the sacred truths of the Catholic Faith. We have chosen an excellent program that incorporates the time-tested question and answer format, along with expanded responses using a wide range of papal and magisterial documents in a detailed and concise manner, similar to the Catechism of the Catholic Church. This program, The Consecration in Truth Family Catechism by the Apostolate for Family Consecration, has been endorsed by Blessed Pope John Paul II,  Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger, now Pope Benedict XVI, Blessed Mother Theresa of Calcutta and other prominent figures in the Church universal and is infused with hundreds of beautiful and instructional images.

Furthermore, because our children belong not only to our school community, but more fundamentally to their family unit, the Family Catechism is to be used at home as well. Each family receives a copy of the catechism to be studied in the heart of the domestic church. For families wanting a more interactive approach, the Apostolate for Family Consecration has an entire website devoted to the Family Catechism with questions answered on video by the esteemed Francis Cardinal Arinze.
